Jungdo is a delta formed by the sands piled up at the converging point where the Soyanggang River and the Bukhangang River meet. Today, as lake Uiam contains a large amount of water, Jungdo has become an island. It has been divided into two islands by being cut off at the center to open a waterway to Seo-myeon province.

Cheojeonri dolmen
These relics better known as Dolmens than Jiseokmyo represent the tomb style of the prehistoric age in Korea. According to the shapes and the location, dolmens of the Korean Peninsula during the Bronze Age from B.C. 1000 to B.C. 300 are often classified into a few groups such as Table Style (Northern Style), Chess Board Style (Southern Style) and Mixed Style (a style found nation-widely).

The Cheongpyeongsa Temple is a historic temple originally founded as 'Baeakamseonwon' which was built by a Buddhist priest named 'Yunghyunseonsa' in the 24th year of the King Gwangjong's ruling of Goryeo Kingdom (973).

It is the grave of Chungikgong, Kim Woo-Myung who was the father-in-law of the 18th King Hyeonjong of the Joseon Dynasty. Namely, he was the father of Myungseonghwanghoo, the King Hyeonjong's wife.

Hyeolgeoyuji
It is an artificial dwelling cave where man lived in the prehistoric age. This relic was accidentally found during the ground leveling process for the construction of Seongshim Women's University (the present Hallym University) in 1962.
