This mountain, which is located 8 km far away to the south from Chuncheon city, is a so-called Mt. Jinbyeongsan. A ridge stretching to the southwest from Mt. Daeryongsan (899m), which can be called the best peak among mountains surrounding Chuncheon city, rose up to Suribong(peak), and then the range of the ridge was submerged at Wonchang upward slope in a moment and rose at the end to become this mountain.

This mountain is the best for winter climbing, and when fall comes, in this mountain, trees are so much thick that fallen leaves are piled up to the knee.
