Guseong waterfall is located in Cheongpyeong-ri, Buksan-myeon, Chuncheon city. If you climb up to Cheonpyeongsa temple going along the graceful valley by ship while being exposed to cool winds of Soyang dam, you can reach Guseong(nine sounds) waterfall that is said to make nine kinds of sounds.
With the height of 9 m, this waterfall has the first-rated clear water and surrounding landscape. The course of waterfall contains a legend of Gongju(princess) cave and Gongju(princess) pagoda about the love between the princess of the Dang dynasty, China, and a snake, which makes tourists feel interested, and there are small and big three waterfalls and Gongjutang with rocks, which is said that here the princess took a bath.?
It is said that the princess of Emperor Shun of the Yuan dynasty, China, suffered from a snake, which was attached to her for its lovesickness for her, but when the princess went to Cheongpyeongsa temple and made every effort, the snake of lovesickness for her separated from her, and when Emperor Shun heard this news, he built Gongju(princess) pagoda, and the cave where the princess stayed was named Gongju(princess) cave, and the valley bath where the princess performed her ablution was named Gongjutang(princess bath).
