There is Mt. Gubongsan consisting of nine peaks with the height of 441.3 m to the left from the street corner leading from Hupyeong-dong, Chuncheon city into Mancheon-ri.
Since below Mt. Gubongsna, Chuncheon outer road connecting Gamjeong-ri, Dong-myeon and Hakgok-ri, Sindong-myeon is well made open, you can view the urban district of Chuncheon from the mountainside of Mt, Gubongsan at one sight, and if you climb up to the summit, there is a paragliding place from which you can see the back field of Chuncheon at one sight across the beauty of base colors and the sky.

Mt. Gubongsan gliderport has been used since 1991.
The 1st takeoff field (on the summit of 441 m above the sea) that was firstly used is not often used now, and the 2nd takeoff field (350 m above the sea) has been used since January, 1994, and is a main takeoff filed that has been used the most until now.
Vehicles can be driven to the 2nd takeoff field, and it takes around five minutes to go there, and the real altitude difference from the takeoff field is 160 m. After taking off, you can rise up to the summit through a ridge flying from the left ridge in most cases, and on days with good winds, you can fly to Mt. Daeryongsan along the ridge of the end skirt of Mt. Gubongsan. The height of the summit of Mt. Daeryongsan is 899 m, and since on the summit, there are military forces, you had better not approach the summit closely.
