Mt.
Samaksan |
This mountain
is located right in the west of Uiam
dam of Gyeongchun national road. To
the south, getting along the riverside
flowing into Bukhang river, Mt. Geombongsan
and Mt. Bonghwasan are located. Main
peaks are three such as Cheongunbong(546
m), Deungseonbong (632m), along with
Yonghwabong, so this mountain is called
Mt. Samaksan, and a ridge stretching
down from the three peaks consists
of rocks. |

Nami
island |
Located in Bangha-ri,
Namsan-myeon, Chuncheon city, Nami
island originally was not an island
but currently is an island of Bukhan
river, which was made by water¡¯s
being filled due to the construction
of Cheongpyeong dam. |

Soyang. Soyang dam |
"Lake Soyang
made by the construction of Soyang
dam, the greatest rock fill dam(dam
built with mud, sandy soil, and rock)
in Asia.” Lake Soyang is called
the sea of inland so that it can match

Yonghwasan |
Mt. Yonghwa,
28 km far away from Chuncheon toward
the north, constitutes the boundary
between Chuncheon city and Hwacheon-gun,
and since this mountain hands down
its beauty orally only to a very few
climbers, who love the mysterious
mood, while it still keeps the virgin
forest as it is, it is more famous.

bends around Mt. Bonghwasan and falls
down as a refreshing flow falling
down along the great rock wall, which
appears after you come around 9 bends.

The tourist attraction of Cheongpyeongsa
temple is located 19 km far away from
the downtown, and if you go about
10 minutes by ship at the ferry of
Lake Soyang, you reach the tourist
attraction of Cheongpyeongsa temple.

Bonguisanseong
mountain fortress |
This fortress
is located in symbolic Mountain Bongui
that is 301.5m high above the sea
level and that rises at the center
of Chuncheon. The Bonguisanseong that
was built along the line of peaks
is a site of the history of resistance
against foreign invasion to protect
our country. |
